Brinellskolan is a high school in Fagersta municipality.

The school offers ten national programs as well as introductory programs, language introduction, apprenticeship training, and adapted upper secondary school. The school has about 480 students, and 9 out of 10 teachers have teaching credentials. We have a well-stocked library and good collaboration with companies, universities, and colleges.

Your mission

As a school counselor, you will be part of the school's student health team, where the mission is to work preventively and promote students' learning, development, and health. The work takes place at the individual, group, and organizational levels.

Your qualifications and merits

We are looking for someone who is an educated behavioral scientist with previous experience working as a school counselor.

You should have the ability to meet students and sometimes colleagues in sensitive conversations, but also drive development work from a school-wide perspective, especially regarding preventive and promotional work. Experience in meeting people from diverse cultural backgrounds can be an asset.

For employment, a certificate from the police's criminal record must be presented. This must be shown at the time of a possible interview.

Recruitment may occur during the application period. Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis. A probationary period of 6 months applies.
